²⁹For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

²⁹For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves.

²⁹For he who eats and drinks ^[a]in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the ^[b]Lord’s body.

³¹For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

³¹But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment.^(A)
