²⁴For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

²⁴For,

“All people are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,

¹⁰But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

¹⁰But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower.^(A)
