⁶“The Lord brings death and makes alive;^(A)
    he brings down to the grave and raises up.^(B)
⁷The Lord sends poverty and wealth;^(C)
    he humbles and he exalts.^(D)
⁸He raises^(E) the poor^(F) from the dust^(G)
    and lifts the needy^(H) from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes
    and has them inherit a throne of honor.^(I)

⁷The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.

⁸He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and he hath set the world upon them.
