¹⁸So Samuel told him everything, hiding nothing from him. Then Eli said, “He is the Lord; let him do what is good in his eyes.”^(A)

¹⁸And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the Lord: let him do what seemeth him good.

²⁰You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything^(A) that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.

²⁰And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house,
