⁴ For everything God created is good,^(A) and nothing is to be rejected^(B) if it is received with thanksgiving,

⁵ because it is consecrated by the word of God^(A) and prayer.

²⁶ While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it^(A) and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”

¹⁶ Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them.^(A) Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people.
