²⁵ But Hezekiah did nothing in return for the benefit ^[a]he received, ^(A)because his heart was ^[b]proud; ^(B)therefore wrath came upon him and upon Judah and Jerusalem.

¹² So it will be that when the Lord has completed all His ^(A)work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, He will say, “I will ^[a]punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and ^(B)the arrogant pride of his eyes.”

²⁰ But when his heart ^[a]was ^(A)arrogant and his spirit became so ^[b](B)overbearing that he behaved presumptuously, he was ^(C)deposed from his royal throne, and his dignity was taken away from him.
