29 He made cities for himself, and gathered very many flocks and cattle. For God had given him very many riches. 30 It was Hezekiah who stopped the upper opening of the waters of Gihon, and made them flow to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah did well in all that he did. 31 It was so even when the men were sent to him from the rulers of Babylon to ask about the wonder that had happened in the land. God left Hezekiah alone to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart.

29 He built villages and acquired great numbers of flocks and herds, for God had given him very great riches.(A)

30 It was Hezekiah who blocked(B) the upper outlet of the Gihon(C) spring and channeled(D) the water down to the west side of the City of David. He succeeded in everything he undertook. 31 But when envoys were sent by the rulers of Babylon(E) to ask him about the miraculous sign(F) that had occurred in the land, God left him to test(G) him and to know everything that was in his heart.
