5 And now I encourage you, Lady, (not as writing a new commandment to you, but the same which we had from the beginning) that we love one another.
6 And this is the love that we should walk in: His commandments. This is the commandment: as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.
7 For many deceivers have entered into this world, who do not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Such a one is a deceiver and an Antichrist.

5 And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning.(A) I ask that we love one another. 6 And this is love:(B) that we walk in obedience to his commands.(C) As you have heard from the beginning,(D) his command is that you walk in love.
7 I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ(E) as coming in the flesh,(F) have gone out into the world.(G) Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.(H)
