5 Now I beg you, dear lady, not as though I wrote to you a new commandment, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. 6 This is love, that we should walk according to his commandments. This is the commandment, even as you heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it. 7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who don’t confess that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the Antichrist.

5 And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning.(A) I ask that we love one another. 6 And this is love:(B) that we walk in obedience to his commands.(C) As you have heard from the beginning,(D) his command is that you walk in love.
7 I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ(E) as coming in the flesh,(F) have gone out into the world.(G) Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.(H)
