²⁵ Then ^(A)Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz again took from the hand of Ben-hadad the son of Hazael the cities which he had taken in war from the hand of his father Jehoahaz. ^(B)Three times Joash ^[a]defeated him and recovered the cities of Israel.

^25 (A)He restored the border of Israel from ^(B)the entrance of Hamath as far as ^(C)the Sea of the Arabah, in accordance with the word of the Lord, the God of Israel, which He spoke ^[a]through His servant ^(D)Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet, who was from ^(E)Gath-hepher.
