2 Timothy 2:4-6
Revised Geneva Translation
4 No one who serves as a soldier entangles himself with the affairs of life, because he wants to please the one who has chosen him to be a soldier.
5 And also, if anyone competes as an athlete, he is not crowned unless he has competed lawfully.
6 The farmer must labor before he receives the fruits.

4 No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. 5 Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown(A) except by competing according to the rules. 6 The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops.(B)
