2 Timothy 2:26

²⁶and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil,^(A) who has taken them captive to do his will.

²⁶And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

²¹Rescue me from the mouth of the lions;^(A)
save me from the horns of the wild oxen.^(B)

²¹Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

⁹if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials^(A) and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.^(B)

⁹The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
