⁴¹And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

⁴¹The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing^(A) because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.^(B)

²²And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.

²²The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods.^(A)

²⁵And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

²⁵About midnight^(A) Paul and Silas^(B) were praying and singing hymns^(C) to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
