3 to whom (A)He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over forty days and speaking about (B)the things concerning the kingdom of God. 4 And [a]gathering them together, He commanded them (C)not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the (D)promise of the Father, “Which,” He said, “you heard of from Me; 5 for [b](E)John baptized with water, but you will be baptized [c]with the Holy Spirit [d](F)not many days from now.”

3 After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them(A) over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.(B) 4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait(C) for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.(D) 5 For John baptized with[a] water,(E) but in a few days you will be baptized with[b] the Holy Spirit.”(F)
