4 The people of the city did not agree with one another. Some were on the side of the Jews. Others were on the side of the apostles. 5 Jews and Gentiles alike planned to treat Paul and Barnabas badly. Their leaders agreed. They planned to kill them by throwing stones at them. 6 But Paul and Barnabas found out about the plan. They escaped to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe and to the surrounding area.

4 The people of the city were divided; some sided with the Jews, others with the apostles.(A) 5 There was a plot afoot among both Gentiles and Jews,(B) together with their leaders, to mistreat them and stone them.(C) 6 But they found out about it and fled(D) to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe and to the surrounding country,
