Acts 16:20-22

20 They brought them to the judges. “These men are Jews,” her owners said. “They are making trouble in our city. 21 They are suggesting practices that are against Roman law. These are practices we can’t accept or take part in.”
22 The crowd joined the attack against Paul and Silas. The judges ordered that Paul and Silas be stripped and beaten with rods.

20 They brought them before the magistrates and said, “These men are Jews, and are throwing our city into an uproar(A) 21 by advocating customs unlawful for us Romans(B) to accept or practice.”(C)
22 The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods.(D)
