10 Paul in Beroea. As soon as it got dark, the brethren sent Paul and Silas away to Beroea. Upon their arrival, they immediately went to the Jewish synagogue. 11 The people there were more receptive than those in Thessalonica. They received the word with great eagerness, and they examined the Scriptures every day to check whether these things were so. 12 Many of them became believers, as did a considerable number of influential Greek women and men.

In Berea

10 As soon as it was night, the believers sent Paul and Silas(A) away to Berea.(B) On arriving there, they went to the Jewish synagogue.(C) 11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica,(D) for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures(E) every day to see if what Paul said was true.(F) 12 As a result, many of them believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men.(G)
