²⁷ And when he wanted to go across to ^(A)Achaia, ^(B)the brothers encouraged him and wrote to ^(C)the disciples to welcome him; and when he had arrived, he greatly ^[a]helped those who had believed through grace,

²¹ Now after these things were finished, Paul resolved in ^[a]the Spirit to ^(A)go to Jerusalem ^(B)after he had passed through ^(C)Macedonia and ^(D)Achaia, saying, “After I have been there, ^(E)I must also see Rome.”

²⁶ For ^(A)Macedonia and ^(B)Achaia have been pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the ^[a]saints in Jerusalem.

¹⁵ Now I urge you, brothers and sisters: you know the ^(A)household of Stephanas, that ^[a]they are the ^(B)first fruits of ^(C)Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to ^(D)ministry to ^(E)the ^[b]saints;

Introduction

1 Paul, ^(A)an apostle of ^(B)Christ Jesus ^(C)by the will of God, and our brother ^(D)Timothy,

To ^(E)the church of God which is at ^(F)Corinth with all the ^[a]saints who are throughout ^(G)Achaia:

² for I know your willingness, of which I ^(A)boast about you to the ^(B)Macedonians, namely, that ^(C)Achaia has been prepared since ^(D)last year, and your zeal has stirred up most of them.

^10 (A)As the truth of Christ is in me, ^(B)this boasting of mine will not be stopped in the regions of ^(C)Achaia.

⁷ so that you became an example to all the believers in ^(A)Macedonia and ^(B)Achaia. ⁸ For ^(C)the word of the Lord has ^(D)sounded forth from you, not only in ^(E)Macedonia and ^(F)Achaia, but ^(G)in every place the news of your faith toward God has gone out, so that we have no need to say anything. ⁹ For they themselves report about us ^[a]as to the kind of ^(H)reception we had with you, and how you ^(I)turned to God ^(J)from ^[b]idols to serve ^[c](K)a living and true God, ¹⁰ and to ^(L)wait for His Son from ^[d]heaven, whom He ^(M)raised from the dead, that is, Jesus who ^(N)rescues us from ^(O)the wrath to come.
