And having boarded an Adramyttian[a] ship being about to sail to the places along [the coast of] Asia, we put-to-sea— Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica, being with us. And on another day we put in at Sidon. And Julius, having treated Paul humanely, permitted him to obtain care[b], having gone to his friends. And from there, having put-to-sea, we sailed-under-the-shelter[c]-of Cyprus because of the winds being contrary.

The next day we landed at Sidon;(E) and Julius, in kindness to Paul,(F) allowed him to go to his friends so they might provide for his needs.(G) From there we put out to sea again and passed to the lee of Cyprus because the winds were against us.(H)
