GOD’S WORD Translation
2 We set sail on a ship from the city of Adramyttium. The ship was going to stop at ports on the coast of the province of Asia. Aristarchus, a Macedonian from the city of Thessalonica, went with us.
3 The next day we arrived at the city of Sidon. Julius treated Paul kindly and allowed him to visit his friends and receive any care he needed. 4 Leaving Sidon, we sailed on the northern side of the island of Cyprus because we were traveling against the wind.

New International Version
2 We boarded a ship from Adramyttium about to sail for ports along the coast of the province of Asia,(A) and we put out to sea. Aristarchus,(B) a Macedonian(C) from Thessalonica,(D) was with us.
3 The next day we landed at Sidon;(E) and Julius, in kindness to Paul,(F) allowed him to go to his friends so they might provide for his needs.(G) 4 From there we put out to sea again and passed to the lee of Cyprus because the winds were against us.(H)
