7 ‘But (A)I will judge the nation that they serve,’ said God, ‘and after that they shall come out (B)and worship me in this place.’ 8 And (C)he gave him the covenant of circumcision. And (D)so Abraham became the father of Isaac, and (E)circumcised him on the eighth day, and (F)Isaac became the father of Jacob, and (G)Jacob of the twelve patriarchs.
9 “And the patriarchs, (H)jealous of Joseph, (I)sold him into Egypt; but (J)God was with him

New International Version
7 But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves,’ God said, ‘and afterward they will come out of that country and worship me in this place.’[a](A) 8 Then he gave Abraham the covenant of circumcision.(B) And Abraham became the father of Isaac and circumcised him eight days after his birth.(C) Later Isaac became the father of Jacob,(D) and Jacob became the father of the twelve patriarchs.(E)
9 “Because the patriarchs were jealous of Joseph,(F) they sold him as a slave into Egypt.(G) But God was with him(H)
