22 Because the king's order was (A)urgent and the furnace overheated, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up (B)Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. 23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell (C)bound into the burning fiery furnace.

24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar was (D)astonished and rose up (E)in haste. He declared to his (F)counselors, “Did we not cast three men (G)bound into the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” 25 He answered and said, “But I see four men unbound, (H)walking in the midst of the fire, and they (I)are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like (J)a son of the gods.”

22 The king’s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego,(A) 23 and these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blazing furnace.

24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?”

They replied, “Certainly, Your Majesty.”

25 He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”
