Daniel 8:7-9

7 And I saw it reach the side of the ram, and it was enraged at it; and it struck the ram and broke its two horns in pieces, and the ram had no strength to stand in [a]opposition to it. So it threw it down to the ground and trampled on it, and there was none to deliver the ram from its [b]power. 8 Then the male goat magnified itself exceedingly. But as soon as (A)it was mighty, the (B)large horn was broken; and in its place there came up four conspicuous horns toward the (C)four winds of [c]heaven.
The Small Horn
9 And out of one of them came forth a rather (D)small horn. And it grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the [d](E)Beautiful Land.

New International Version
7 I saw it attack the ram furiously, striking the ram and shattering its two horns. The ram was powerless to stand against it; the goat knocked it to the ground and trampled on it,(A) and none could rescue the ram from its power.(B) 8 The goat became very great, but at the height of its power the large horn was broken off,(C) and in its place four prominent horns grew up toward the four winds of heaven.(D)
9 Out of one of them came another horn, which started small(E) but grew in power to the south and to the east and toward the Beautiful Land.(F)
