²⁸ The Lord will strike you with insanity, blindness, and with confusion of ^[a]mind;

²⁹ and you will be ^(A)groping about at noon, just as a person who is blind gropes in the darkness, and you will not be successful in your ways; but you will only be ^[a]oppressed and robbed all the time, with no one to save you.

¹⁸ And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord and said, “Please strike this ^[a]people with blindness.” So He ^(A)struck them with blindness in accordance with the word of Elisha.

¹¹ Now, behold, ^(A)the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and not see the sun for a time.” And immediately a mist and a darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking those who would lead him by the hand.
