12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

Christ is the culmination of the law(A) so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.(B)

Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: “The person who does these things will live by them.”[a](C) But the righteousness that is by faith(D) says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’”[b](E) (that is, to bring Christ down) “or ‘Who will descend into the deep?’”[c](F) (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).(G) But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[d](H) that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare(I) with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,”(J) and believe(K) in your heart that God raised him from the dead,(L) you will be saved.(M) 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”[e](N)

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
