⁵⁷ her afterbirth that comes out from between her feet and her children whom she bears, because lacking everything she will eat them secretly, ^(A)in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy shall distress you in your towns.

^29 (A)You shall eat the flesh of your sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your daughters.

^9 (A)And I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and their daughters, and everyone shall eat the flesh of his neighbor ^(B)in the siege and in the distress, with which their enemies and those who seek their life afflict them.’

¹⁰ Therefore ^(A)fathers shall eat their sons in your midst, and sons shall eat their fathers. ^(B)And I will execute judgments on you, ^(C)and any of you who survive I will scatter to all the winds.

²⁸ And the king asked her, “What is your trouble?” She answered, “This woman said to me, ‘Give your son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.’ ^29 (A)So we boiled my son and ate him. And on the next day I said to her, ‘Give your son, that we may eat him.’ But she has hidden her son.”
