²¹ When thou shalt vow a vow unto the Lord thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the Lord thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.

²² But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.

²³ That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the Lord thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.

³⁵ And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the Lord, and I cannot go back.

²⁷ Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.

²⁵ My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

¹⁴ Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

⁵ For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

⁸ So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

¹¹ Vow, and pay unto the Lord your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

¹⁴ I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people.

²⁵ It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make enquiry.
