3 The Israelites said to them, “If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in Egypt!(A) There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food(B) we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.”(C)
4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven(D) for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test(E) them and see whether they will follow my instructions. 5 On the sixth day they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is to be twice(F) as much as they gather on the other days.”
6 So Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites, “In the evening you will know that it was the Lord who brought you out of Egypt,(G) 7 and in the morning you will see the glory(H) of the Lord, because he has heard your grumbling(I) against him. Who are we, that you should grumble against us?”(J)

3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.
4 Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.
5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.
6 And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the Lord hath brought you out from the land of Egypt:
7 And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the Lord; for that he heareth your murmurings against the Lord: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?

And the people shall go out and gather [a]a certain quota every day, that I may (D)test them, whether they will (E)walk in My law or not. 5 And it shall be on the sixth day that they shall prepare what they bring in, and (F)it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.”
6 Then Moses and Aaron said to all the children of Israel, (G)“At evening you shall know that the Lord has brought you out of the land of Egypt. 7 And in the morning you shall see (H)the glory of the Lord; for He (I)hears your complaints against the Lord. But (J)what are we, that you complain against us?”
