1 2 All things in this world are full of vanity, and of none endurance. 13 All man’s wisdom is but folly and grief.

2 [b]Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher: vanity of vanities, all is vanity.

- Ecclesiastes 1:1 Solomon is here called a preacher, or one that assembleth the people, because he teacheth the true knowledge of God, and how men ought to pass their life in this transitory world.
