Ecclesiastes 12:12-14

12 My son, beware of anything beyond these. Of making (A)many books there is no end, and (B)much study is a weariness of the flesh.

13 The end of the matter; all has been heard. (C)Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.[a] 14 For (D)God will bring every deed into judgement, with[b] every secret thing, whether good or evil.

12 Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.

Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.(A)

13 Now all has been heard;
    here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God(B) and keep his commandments,(C)
    for this is the duty of all mankind.(D)
14 For God will bring every deed into judgment,(E)
    including every hidden thing,(F)
    whether it is good or evil.
