⁴For he chose us^(A) in him before the creation of the world^(B) to be holy and blameless^(C) in his sight. In love^(D)

⁵^[a]He ^(A)predestined us to ^(B)adoption as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ to Himself, ^(C)according to the good pleasure of His will,
