¹⁴Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

¹⁴Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,^(A) with the breastplate of righteousness in place,^(B)

¹⁵Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

¹⁵So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm^(A) and hold fast to the teachings^[a] we passed on to you,^(B) whether by word of mouth or by letter.
