Christ Our Cornerstone

19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 having been (A)built (B)on the foundation of the (C)apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being (D)the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into (E)a holy temple in the Lord, 22 (F)in whom you also are being built together for a (G)dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers,(A) but fellow citizens(B) with God’s people and also members of his household,(C) 20 built(D) on the foundation(E) of the apostles and prophets,(F) with Christ Jesus himself(G) as the chief cornerstone.(H) 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple(I) in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.(J)

15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the (A)head—Christ— 16 (B)from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

15 Instead, speaking the truth in love,(A) we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head,(B) that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows(C) and builds itself up(D) in love,(E) as each part does its work.
