21 In those days while Mordecai was sitting at the king’s gate, Bigthan[a] and Teresh,[b] two of the king’s eunuchs who protected the entrance,[c] became angry and plotted to assassinate[d] King Ahasuerus.

21 During the time Mordecai was sitting at the king’s gate, Bigthana[a] and Teresh, two of the king’s officers(A) who guarded the doorway, became angry(B) and conspired to assassinate King Xerxes.
