16 The rest of the Jews who were throughout the provinces of the king assembled in order to stand up for themselves and to have rest from their enemies. They killed 75,000[a] of their adversaries, but they did not confiscate their property.

16 Meanwhile, the remainder of the Jews who were in the king’s provinces also assembled to protect themselves and get relief(A) from their enemies.(B) They killed seventy-five thousand of them(C) but did not lay their hands on the plunder.(D)
