Exodus 32:2-5
English Standard Version
2 So Aaron said to them, “Take off the (A)rings of gold that are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” 3 So all the people took off the rings of gold that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. 4 (B)And he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden[a] calf. And they said, (C)“These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!” 5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it. And Aaron (D)made a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow shall be a feast to the Lord.”

New International Version
2 Aaron answered them, “Take off the gold earrings(A) that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me.” 3 So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron. 4 He took what they handed him and made it into an idol(B) cast in the shape of a calf,(C) fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, “These are your gods,[a](D) Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”(E)
5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival(F) to the Lord.”
