²⁴ You shall observe this rite as a statute for you and for your sons forever. ²⁵ And when you come to the land that the Lord will give you, ^(A)as he has promised, you shall keep this service. ²⁶ And ^(B)when your children say to you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’ ²⁷ you shall say, ^(C)‘It is the sacrifice of the Lord's Passover, for he passed over the houses of the people of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians but spared our houses.’” And the people ^(D)bowed their heads and worshiped.

The Feast of Unleavened Bread

³ Then Moses said to the people, ^(A)“Remember this day in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of slavery, ^(B)for by a strong hand the Lord brought you out from this place. ^(C)No leavened bread shall be eaten.

² “Let the people of Israel keep the Passover at its appointed time. ^3 (A)On the fourteenth day of this month, at twilight, you shall keep it at its appointed time; according to all its statutes and all its rules you shall keep it.”
