Exodus 12:5-8
English Standard Version
5 Your lamb shall be (A)without blemish, a male a year old. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats, 6 and you shall keep it until the (B)fourteenth day of this month, when the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill their lambs at twilight.[a]
7 “Then they shall take some of the blood and put it on the (C)two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat it. 8 They shall eat the flesh that night, roasted on the fire; with (D)unleavened bread and bitter herbs they shall eat it.

5 The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect,(A) and you may take them from the sheep or the goats. 6 Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month,(B) when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.(C) 7 Then they are to take some of the blood(D) and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs. 8 That same night(E) they are to eat the meat roasted(F) over the fire, along with bitter herbs,(G) and bread made without yeast.(H)
