13 And Joshua [a]discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. 14 And Jehovah said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in [b]a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: [c]that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. 15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it [d]Jehovah-nissi;

New International Version
13 So Joshua overcame the Amalekite(A) army with the sword.
14 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write(B) this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out(C) the name of Amalek(D) from under heaven.”
15 Moses built an altar(E) and called(F) it The Lord is my Banner.
