17 “(A)You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; (B)you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or his male slave or his female slave or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
18 (C)And all the people perceived the [a]thunder and the lightning flashes and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking; and the people perceived it, and they shook and stood at a distance. 19 (D)Then they said to Moses, “Speak [b]to us yourself, and we will listen; but let not God speak [c]to us, lest we die.”

18 When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet(B) and saw the mountain in smoke,(C) they trembled with fear.(D) They stayed at a distance 19 and said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak(E) to us or we will die.”(F)
