³¹“You shall be people consecrated to me, so you shall not eat any meat that is mangled by beasts in the field; you shall throw it to the dogs.^(A)

Exodus 22:31

New International Version

³¹“You are to be my holy people.^(A) So do not eat the meat of an animal torn by wild beasts;^(B) throw it to the dogs.

⁸That which died or was torn by wild animals he shall not eat, becoming unclean by it: I am the Lord.^(A)

⁸He must not eat anything found dead^(A) or torn by wild animals,^(B) and so become unclean^(C) through it. I am the Lord.^(D)
