⁴^(A) If you find an ox or a donkey that has wandered off, take it back where it belongs, even if the owner is your enemy.

New International Version

⁴“If you come across your enemy’s^(A) ox or donkey wandering off, be sure to return it.^(B)

⁵If a donkey is overloaded and falls down, you must do what you can to help, even if it belongs to someone who doesn't like you.^[a]

⁵If you see the donkey^(A) of someone who hates you fallen down under its load, do not leave it there; be sure you help them with it.
