5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it; then he made an announcement: “There will be a festival(A) to the Lord tomorrow.” 6 Early the next morning they arose, offered burnt offerings, and presented fellowship offerings. The people sat down to eat and drink, then got up to play.(B)
7 The Lord spoke to Moses: “Go down at once! For your people you brought up from the land of Egypt have acted corruptly.(C)

New International Version
5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival(A) to the Lord.” 6 So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings.(B) Afterward they sat down to eat and drink(C) and got up to indulge in revelry.(D)
7 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt,(E) have become corrupt.(F)
