Exodus 6:7-9
Contemporary English Version
7 I will accept you as my people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I was the one who rescued you from the Egyptians. 8 I will bring you into the land that I solemnly promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and it will be yours. I am the Lord!”
9 When Moses told this to the Israelites, they were too discouraged and mistreated to believe him.

New International Version
7 I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God.(A) Then you will know(B) that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. 8 And I will bring you to the land(C) I swore(D) with uplifted hand(E) to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob.(F) I will give it to you as a possession. I am the Lord.’”(G)
9 Moses reported this to the Israelites, but they did not listen to him because of their discouragement and harsh labor.(H)
