Exodus 24:6-8
New International Version
6 Moses(A) took half of the blood(B) and put it in bowls, and the other half he splashed(C) against the altar. 7 Then he took the Book of the Covenant(D) and read it to the people. They responded, “We will do everything the Lord has said; we will obey.”(E)
8 Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people(F) and said, “This is the blood of the covenant(G) that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”
Leviticus 14:4-6
New International Version
4 the priest shall order that two live clean birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop(A) be brought for the person to be cleansed.(B) 5 Then the priest shall order that one of the birds be killed over fresh water in a clay pot.(C) 6 He is then to take the live bird and dip it, together with the cedar wood, the scarlet yarn and the hyssop, into the blood of the bird that was killed over the fresh water.(D)
