(A)A sword shall come upon Egypt,
    (B)and anguish shall be in (C)Cush,
when the slain fall in Egypt,
    and (D)her wealth[a] is carried away,
    and (E)her foundations are torn down.

(F)Cush, and (G)Put, and Lud, and (H)all Arabia, and Libya,[b] and the people of the land that is in league,[c] shall fall with them by the sword.

“Thus says the Lord:
(I)Those who support Egypt shall fall,
    and (J)her proud might shall come down;
(K)from Migdol to Syene
    they shall fall within her by the sword,
declares the Lord God.
