7 (A)I made you flourish like a plant of the field. And you grew up and became tall (B)and arrived at full adornment. Your breasts were formed, and your hair had grown; yet (C)you were naked and bare.
8 “When I passed by you again and saw you, behold, you were at the age for love, and (D)I spread the corner of my garment over you and covered your nakedness; I made my vow to you (E)and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Lord God, (F)and you became mine. 9 Then I bathed you with water and washed off your blood from you and (G)anointed you with oil.

8 “‘Later I passed by, and when I looked at you and saw that you were old enough for love, I spread the corner of my garment(C) over you and covered your naked body. I gave you my solemn oath and entered into a covenant(D) with you, declares the Sovereign Lord, and you became mine.(E)
