Ezekiel 18:4

⁴“Behold, all souls are ^(A)Mine;
The soul of the father
As well as the soul of the son is Mine;
^(B)The soul who sins shall die.

⁴For everyone belongs to me, the parent as well as the child—both alike belong to me. The one who sins^(A) is the one who will die.^(B)

⁸For if we ^(A)live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.

⁸If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.^(A)
