Ezekiel 20:12-14
Darby Translation
12 And I also gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I [am] Jehovah that hallow them.
13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they rejected mine ordinances, which if a man do, he shall live by them; and my sabbaths they greatly profaned: and I said I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.
14 But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I had brought them out.

New International Version
12 Also I gave them my Sabbaths(A) as a sign(B) between us,(C) so they would know that I the Lord made them holy.(D)
13 “‘Yet the people of Israel rebelled(E) against me in the wilderness. They did not follow my decrees but rejected my laws(F)—by which the person who obeys them will live—and they utterly desecrated my Sabbaths.(G) So I said I would pour out my wrath(H) on them and destroy(I) them in the wilderness.(J) 14 But for the sake of my name I did what would keep it from being profaned(K) in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.(L)
