“O Tyre, you have said,
    ‘I am (C)perfect in beauty.’
Your borders are (D)in the heart of the seas;
    your builders made perfect your beauty.
They made all your planks
    of fir trees from (E)Senir;
they took (F)a cedar from Lebanon
    to make a mast for you.
Of (G)oaks of Bashan
    they made your oars;
they made your deck of pines
    from (H)the coasts of Cyprus,
    inlaid with ivory.
(I)Of fine embroidered linen from Egypt
    was your sail,
    serving as your banner;
blue and purple from (J)the coasts of Elishah
    was your awning.
The inhabitants of Sidon and (K)Arvad
    were your rowers;
your skilled men, O Tyre, were in you;
    they were (L)your pilots.
The elders of (M)Gebal and her skilled men were in you,
    (N)caulking your seams;
all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in you
    to barter for your wares.

“‘You say, Tyre,
    “I am perfect in beauty.(C)
Your domain was on the high seas;
    your builders brought your beauty to perfection.(D)
They made all your timbers
    of juniper from Senir[a];(E)
they took a cedar from Lebanon(F)
    to make a mast for you.
Of oaks(G) from Bashan
    they made your oars;
of cypress wood[b] from the coasts of Cyprus(H)
    they made your deck, adorned with ivory.
Fine embroidered linen(I) from Egypt was your sail
    and served as your banner;
your awnings were of blue and purple(J)
    from the coasts of Elishah.(K)
Men of Sidon and Arvad(L) were your oarsmen;
    your skilled men, Tyre, were aboard as your sailors.(M)
Veteran craftsmen of Byblos(N) were on board
    as shipwrights to caulk your seams.
All the ships of the sea(O) and their sailors
    came alongside to trade for your wares.
